Meet Tina Woodward Hurley, she is an author, a performer, an artist, a teacher, and a Mom of three!
She is the founder of Caring Works for Kids Inc. and the creator of The P.O.W. 'The Points of Wellness." The P.O.W. is a list of practices and tools that help create and maintain positive mental health and self-esteem.
When Tina was a child and teen she suffered from an anxiety disorder. It was through practicing the 'Points of Wellness,' that Tina changed her life for the better.
Tina has been an educator for over 25 years, and as a teacher she found that there were a lot of children and teens suffering as she did and she wanted to help. She converted the 'Points of Wellness' so that it could be taught to kids, to help them build their self-esteem and confidence, and to help them feel great about themselves.
Tina has worked with kids in her own dance and theater school, nursery schools, and public schools.
Local youth engaging in the programs demonstrated an increase in self-esteem, confidence, and were better equipped to deal with everyday stresses, anxiety, peer pressure, and bullying. She has now brought these wonderful tools to children around the world through her books, videos, and programs!
Join us in empowering our youth. Together we can teach children that they can do anything they put their minds to!
Throughout the world, there is a growing concern for children’s mental health. With child stresses, bullying, anxiety, and depression on the rise, now more than ever our youth are in need of supportive, self-esteem building, and wellness learning.
As the mother of a child on the spectrum, I am always on the lookout for extracurricular activities to stimulate my child's development.... our child's self-confidence and ability to speak up when needed greatly improved.
It has been my pleasure to have worked with Miss Tina on several occasions. From the beginning of each project, Tina demonstrated her knowledge and expertise. Her planning was efficient, creative, well organized, and completely reflected my classroom needs.
